Hi, thank you very much for sharing all your Korean recipes. Always inspired by you. I'm interested to cook Bulgogi, can you tell me how you marinade the beef or pork? I google search and saw some added pear in the marination. Not sure which is the correct one. :)
Dear Ann,
Thanks for visiting my blog and it is my pleasure to sure with you. You can get the sauce for Bulgogi at the Korean supermarket,in bottle form "소불고가양념" for beef, this sauce is delicious. Add the sliced onion, pepper and bulgogi sauce to the beef, you can add in the fresh Asian pear juice or kiwi juice to marinate the meat too,the meat will be more tender.
Or if you want to make the sauce yourself, you may try : 6Tsp Korean soy bean sauce,3 Tsp sugar,3Tsp Asian pear juice,3Tsp cooking wine, 1 1/2 Tsp minced garlic, 1 pinch of ginger powder, 1 Tsp sesame seeds, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 Tsp sesame oil. Make the sauce to marinate the meat beef, you can also add in sliced onion .
I strongly recommend you to buy the sauce from the supermarket, it really very delicious.......
Please don't hesitate to drop me a line if you have any doubt...
Hi KKimchi,
Thank you very much for the details for making Bulgogi. I think I can get the sauce from the Korean shop next to PH at Bencoolen st. Besides beef, I can also use pork belly, right?
