Pan fried Bell Pepper/피망전/ 灯笼椒煎饼

In Korea, we have many kinds of  pan cakes , we call it " 전" / Jeon. Korean likes to eat " Jeon"  with a  bowl of "Mak-go-li" ( Korean rice wine) especially  when it is a  rainy day.  In Korea, we have  restaurants for selling "Jeon" and " Mak-go-li" only.

在韩国,有各种不同种类的煎饼,韩文称为 “ 전" / Jeon。韩国人在吃煎饼的时候,喜欢配上一碗韩国米酒,称为 “ Mak-go-li”,尤其是在下雨天。 在韩国有专卖煎饼的小食店。。。

( P/s : For Korean, when we drink Mak-go-li, we like to use a small bowl instead of cup ; 韩国人在喝米酒的时候,喜欢用小碗 而不是用杯子)

Ingredients:
bell pepper / capsicum 1
ground beef  or  pork  150g
chopped onion  2 Tsp
chopped spring onion 2 Tsp
minced garlic 1 tsp
oyster sauce 1 tsp
sesame oil 1 tsp
a pinch of  salt
a pinch of pepper
egg yolk 1

Method :

1. Put the ground beef or pork, chopped onion, chopped spring onion, oyster sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, pepper and salt in a bowl, mix well, set aside.

2. Cut the bell pepper into thin round shape, remove the seeds, set aside.

3. In a bowl, beat yolk.

4. Stuff the bell pepper with the  mixture from (1).

5. Dredge bell pepper pieces in flour.

6. Dust off excess flour and dip bell peppers in the egg wash.

7. In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat and place the stuffed bell peppers on the pan.

8. Flip once and cook until done.

9. Serve hot with vinegar soy sauce or tomato sauce
